Comments for Intertwine

  1. I love historical romance and mix it with time travel its even better. I read this book a second time since I've already read it in the past and I didn't like it more but it was still good. Because of that I would give it 4 stars.

I also bought the sequel called Divine, and I liked that book a little better. But I haven't read it a second time either. I think I like the second book better because of the mystery and intrigue of a secret society trying to scare her away from marrying the guy.

Intertwine made me laugh when she takes off on a horse, its just when Emme remembers everything, and she puts her music on and ear phones in. James chases after her on a horse and tries yelling at her and she doesn't hear him until he catches up to her and she takes the earphones out. That might be one of my fav parts of the book. He just has no idea about technology at that moment.

I like the book's explanation for the title of the book. Emmer has a friend, Jasmine who believes, "The lives of everyone who has ever lived exist simultaneously as rippling concentric circles on the surface of some vast cosmic ocean. And from time to time, the rings of a person's expanding circle would intertwine with those of someone else, and they would be linked. Cosmically tied to each other."

I love a book that uses math terminology and you cannot get better than concentric circles ;)

I did learn some new vocabulary also. I had to look it up because I did not know what a dower house was. Dower is the portion of a deceased husbands property allowed to his widow for her lifetime.

I would recommend this book to others and I really did enjoy it. It was lighter reading than the kite runner that was so intense and I wanted that and swapped these books for the two months.

  2. I read this book about a year ago, when it first came out and LOVED it. I have wanted to re-read it before I read the second one in the series but I just haven't had the time to get to it. Spring break is coming up and I will have two wonderful weeks to read as much as I can. I can't wait!
